"Defense Industry Complex of Russia — New Opportunities for the Medical Industry": On July 01 in Tula the scientific and practical conference and exhibition the "Defense Industry Complex of Russia — New Opportunities for the Medical Industry" took place. The event was hosted by the Board of the Military-industrial commission of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Government of Tula region. The conference and an exhibition was held in execution of the order of the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin of March 31, 2016 No. RD-P7-1801 about holding a scientific and practical conference and exhibition concerning creation of medical equipment and products of medical appointment taking into account the scientific and technical reserve which is available in the defense industry complex (DIC) of the Russian Federation. The event was held as for the purpose of demonstration of already created medical products and the equipment on defense industry enterprises of the Russian Federation and the available experience, and for discussion of the further directions of cooperation of defense industry enterprises and the medical industry. The CEO of JSC Central Research and Development Institute of Materials Sergey Aleksandrovich Bolkisev tells about the projects presented to guests of a conference and exhibition. - Since 2008 developmental prototype NCI were successfully applied in medical practice. Now the implants produced by the NanoTechMed Plus Ltd. are applied in the St. Petersburg scientific research institute of phthisiopulmonology, TSITO of N.N. Priorov, NNIITO of Tsivyan, Federal State Budgetary Institution RNTs WTO of the academician G.A. Ilizarov", the Ural State Medical University, the Krasnodar hospital and other medical institutions of our country. Responses of specialists are only positive. - Are there any Russian or foreign analogues of these products? - There are no such analogues yet. - Whether your products enter the List 102 Resolutions of the government of Russia? - As absolutely Russian development the nanostructured carbonaceous implants are certainly included into the 102nd resolution. - As far as does cooperation with the enterprises of DIC/medical industry increase competitiveness of your products? - Due to uniqueness of the patented technology competitive advantage over the companies offering traditional implants (titanium, polymers, ceramics) is provided. Nanostructured carbonaceous implants are produced of domestic raw materials, by the domestic originally designed equipment and in our country. All these factors provide them with the competitive price.
